Chicken With Balsamic Pears Recipe


  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless;
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced;
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced;
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar;
  • 2 to 3 pears, sliced;
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes;
  • 4 tbsp. fresh basil, sliced;
  • Cooking fat;
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper;


  1. Melt some cooking fat in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts to taste. Brown on both sides, 2 to 3 minutes per side, and set aside.
  3. Add onion and garlic to the skillet and saut? until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the balsamic vinegar and cook, stirring constantly, until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in the pears and tomatoes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet. Lower heat to medium, cover, and cook until chicken is cooked through (about 8 to 10 minutes).
  7. Top with the fresh basil to serve.
