Herring under a Fur Coat

  • 2 Apple
  • 200 Mayonnaise
  • 2 Herring
  • 1 Salt
  • 2 Beet
  • 3 Carrot
  • 2 Eggs
  • 3 Potatoes
  • 1 Onion

Instructions

  1. Herring to cut into fillets and cut into small pieces. Potatoes, carrots and beets wash and boil in their skins until tender. Allow to cool. All the vegetables and apple peel and grate on a coarse grater separately, chop onion. Cook hard-boiled egg and grate.
  2. In large dish put half the potatoes, then – a layer of herring and onion with mayonnaise. Next put a layer of carrots, half a beet and eggs. Each layer lightly with salt and soak mayonnaise. The last layer to put the remainder of potatoes, apples. Top and sides to put the remaining beetroot. Smooth surface, spread with mayonnaise and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
