The sandwich with ham and the Abkhazian salad “acharkhat”


  • 100 g of any leaf greens (spinach, mangold, arugula, kohlrabi leaves)
  • 50 g of the peeled walnuts
  • 50 g of the softened butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 4 big pieces of rye bread


  1. Remove rigid small stalks at greens (spinach, a mangold, arugula, kohlrabi leaves) and cut greens large pieces (better a ceramic knife).
  2. Remove all partitions in walnuts as it is possible more carefully. Crush greens with nuts the blender or pound in a mortar.
  3. Add salt, pepper, the softened butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil to nut mix. Carefully mix everything and set aside at the room temperature 1 hour.
  4. Cut very thinly ham (or any other ready meat). Grease each piece with mix from nuts and greens and curtail into a roll. Grease with butter big pieces of rye bread.
  5. Lay on a piece of bread 4 rolls from ham. From above put the second piece of bread and strongly press. Roast on the oiled frying pan, having strongly pressed a sandwich for 2 min. from each party.
