Saut?ed bratwurst

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb. (16 oz.) Fresh Turkey Bratwurst
  • 1 large red baking apple, unpeeled, cored and thinly sliced
  • Spicy brown mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat 2 minutes.
  2. Separate onion slices into rings; add to skillet. Cover; cook 4 minutes or until softened.
  3. Uncover; push bacon and onion to edges of skillet. Add bratwurst to skillet; cook 16 to 18 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and no longer pink in center. Transfer bratwurst to serving plate.
  4. Add apple to skillet; cook and stir with bacon and onion until apple is tender, 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Spoon mixture over bratwurst. Serve with mustard, if desired.
