Spicy Bacon-Wrapped Meatballs Recipe
It’s spice inside and out for these meatballs: onions and garlic on the inside to get the flavor all through the meat, and a honey-chili rub on the outside for more of a punch. And that’s without even getting into the bacon.

- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef;
- 1 egg, lightly beaten;
- 1 lb. bacon, sliced in half;
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder;
- 1 tsp. garlic powder;
- 3 tbsp. chili powder;
- 4 tbsp. raw honey; (optional)
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper;
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 F.
- Mix the ground beef, egg, onion powder, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Shape the mixture into 1.5-inch balls.
- Wrap each meatball with a half-slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
- If you’re using the honey, combine it with the chili powder in a separate bowl.
- Drizzle the meatballs with chili powder, or rub the honey-chili mixture on each meatball.
- Place back into the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes.
